Persuit of Happiness
I was going thru a phase of life, where I thought I needed a wife.
So I decided – “Let me get married.” I’d prefer if she was salaried.
She should be tall, should love to talk and also enjoy a long walk.
Good sense of humor was a must and should be willing to adjust.
Have no problems with night shifts and sometimes surprise me with gifts.
Should treat my parents with respect, is the least I expect.
Stopped by a studio wearing my suit; it was time for a photo shoot.
Uploaded my profile on a matrimony site; to find my ‘miss rite’.
Received several invites for an alliance; & my family did a due diligence.
So the search for the perfect bride began; I hoped everything goes as per plan.
Met the first girl in Mumbai; OMG can I hear the Shehnai.
The girl was a little shy; I initiated a conversation but – No Reply.
Met a few more girls at a different location; but encountered the same situation.
It was more like an audition; Oh!!! What a terrible situation.
Then met a girl who was also shy; but was willing to try.
Something about her touched my heart; it was beating too fast.
But I was in a dilemma; which cleared while watching a cinema.
Finally I took the decision, which will give my life a new direction.
23rd May’10 is when we start; till death do us apart…..[P6]
